The Friends of the Orange County Library System was first organized in 1947 as a group of citizens in support of our Library System and the role of public libraries in general. Over the years, the Friends have worked diligently to raise funds for the Library System and to educate people about the important role libraries play in enriching the community. Last week, the board voted and decided the new directors for 2012.
Dave Lehman, president of Convention Plus, was elected president of the Friends of the Orange County Library System and Hernan Tagliani, president of The Group Advertising, was elected vice president of the Friends of the Orange County. Simon T. Bailey, motivational speaker, author and founder of the Brilliance Institute, and Joseph I. Goldstein, vice president & general counsel for BBA Aviation, were elected to the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Library.
